中壢大學眼科院長，大學眼科體系白內障手術指導醫師，福建醫科大學眼科研究中心博士生指導教授，中台科技大學視光學講師，中華民國眼科專科醫師，中華民國眼科醫學會會員，中華民國美容醫學會會員，教育部視力保健醫師中華民國醫用雷射光電學會理事，中華民國醫用雷射光電學會理事，美國眼科醫學會會員(AAO)，美國白內障及屈光手術學會會員(ASCRS)，歐洲白內障及屈光手術學會會員(ESCRS)， AMO眼力健, 博士倫, 愛爾康手術顧問醫師。從事眼科診療、視光學研究及教學近20年。林鴻源醫師在白內障及屈光手術有豐富臨床經驗，曾多次參予亞太地區人道主義眼科義診手術包括:斯里蘭卡,中國等地區。林鴻源醫師是中華眼科醫學會白內障現場手術示範醫師，並對白內障及屈光手術醫師教育培訓做了卓有成效的教育工作，其學術及臨床貢獻在大中華地區及亞太地區都具一定影響力!

Dr. Hung-Yuan Lin is a leading national expert in cataract and refractive surgery. He is the Superintendent of Zhong-Li Universal Eye center, Professor of the Fu-Jian Medical University and Chief Director of Universal Eye Center Alliance Cataract Committee. He is also the lecturer in Optometry at Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology. Dr. Lin is the Board of Director in Taiwanese Cataract and Refractive Surgeon in Laser and Photonic Medicine Society of the R.O.C. He is the Surgical Consultant for A.M.O, Bausch & Lomb and Alcon.

He has performed more than 13,000 Cataract Phacoemulsification with M.I.C.S and over 1,500 cases using multifocal and accommodative IOLs. His average surgery time for grade 3 nuclear cataract is between 5-6 minutes. His near perfection surgical skill has enabled him perform to the next level. Not only he is able to limit the E.P.T. within 2 seconds with Stellarist but also limit the C.D.E. to 3 seconds with Infinity. Dr. Lin is also a skilled refractive surgeon with large amount of Femto Second experience and more than 10,000 Lasik procedure performed.

His interest in teaching young surgeons made substantial contribution to ophthalmic development in Taiwan, especially in training and education for young cataract and refractive surgeons.

Dr. Lin is actively making presentation and performing live surgery at symposia, workshop and congresses at national and international level on regular basis. He is a frequent guest speaker for newspaper and has also conducted many public awareness seminars on important eye disease and common eye healthcare to be published in the leading newspaper and media. He has published numerous articles and published a book on The Use of Laser in Ophthalmology and he is also the chief editor of the book Laser in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Lin is a well accomplished Surgeon, a national leader in the area of cataract and refractive surgeries. His academic achievement has had significance in the Taiwan, China and Pacific Asia region.
